The National Committee of the ASEAN Law Association of Cambodia is honored to host the meeting of the ASEAN Law Association Special Meeting in Siem Reap from 07th to 09th June 2018.
Prior to this meeting, at 4:00 pm on June 7, 2018, the National Committee of the ASEAN Law Association of Cambodia, chaired by H.E. Suon Visal, President of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received the Presidents of each of the ASEAN Law Association of ASEAN. Such as, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar in order to let know the commitment of The Royal Government of Cambodia of its interest in establishing the ASEAN-Cambodia Law Association in response to Cambodia's integration into the ASEAN and global framework. In response, the President of the Law Association of ASEAN countries expressed his appreciation to the National Committee of the ASEAN Law Association of Cambodia, especially the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, for its efforts to establish the National Committee of the ASEAN Law Association by the end of 2017. At the same time, all ASEAN countries have been actively implementing this work.
On August 23, 2017, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, signed Sub-Decree No. 124 on August 3, 2017 to establish the National Committee of Cambodia ASEAN Law Association with the President of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia as the Chairman, the Permanent Vice President and some members as necessary.
The National Committee of the ASEAN Law Association of Cambodia is the body of the Royal Government to present the legal aspects of Cambodia in the international arena, promote Cambodia's economic development and attract investors.
