At the invitation of the President of the ASEAN Law Association, H.E. Prom Vicheth Akara, Permanent Vice President of the National Committee of Cambodia ASEAN Law Association, led a delegation to attend the 41st Board Meeting of the ASEAN Law Association in Phuket, Thailand from November 19 to 22, 2019.
The meeting focused on (1) the duties of each country of ASEAN Law Association in providing in-kind assistance and support for the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) on the ASEAN Legal Mechanism in implementing the promotion of the integration of Country laws on the application of court judgments and decisions, and the establishment of a panel of experts (ASEC) that can consult in specific areas of law. (2) Interpretation of the treaty from non-conflicting States for a proposed resolution in the ASEAN Protocol; Before the formal meeting of ASEAN legal experts.
